BioOrganics is located in Bangalore, the capital of the State
of Karnataka in southern India. The city, fifth largest in India, has
a population of over 6 million people. It is spread over an area
of 152 square kilometers. Bangalore has a moderate climate (mean
high temperature of 23 degrees C) throughout the year. Due to the
many parks in the city, and its tree-lined streets, it is referred
to as the 'Garden City' of India.
High Tech Haven
United Nations Human Development Report, 2001, ranks Bangalore a joint fourth, with San Francisco, Austin and Taiwan, as a global technology hub promoting technological innovation. Bangalore, as the technology hub of India, is also called the "Silicon Valley of India". Companies such as Hewlett Packard, IBM, Philips, Dell, Lucent, Cisco, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Texas Instruments and Indian IT giants such as Infosys and WIPRO have their offices at Bangalore.
Bangalore is also the Science Capital of India. It is home to the Indian Institute of Science, National Center of Biological Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research and other research institutes. IISc
